ASNMSU is the student government of New Mexico State University, established in 1910. We strive to serve the students of NMSU. We provide programs, services, and opportunities by utilizing money from student fees. We are a student run, led, and made organization with the sole dedication of enhancing your Aggie experience.
ASNMSU was founded in 1910 as the Student Congress of Las Cruces College. In 1957, the Student Congress became the Associated Students of the New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanics.

ASNMSU consists of three branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Executive: Led by the President, consisting of 12 directors, along with other staff members, this branch runs various student programs. Legislative: Made up of 30 senators, elected by NMSU students for each college, the Senate reviews legislation providing funds to groups/projects on campus. Judicial: the Chief Justice and Associate Justices make up this branch and are responsible for court hearings, files, and all records.
