The Judicial Branch of ASNMSU consists of a five member Supreme Court (image), with one Chief Justice and four Associate Justices each serving staggered one-year terms. The Supreme Court hears cases pertaining to the Constitution and the laws of ASNMSU. The Court also presides over the impeachment hearings of members of the Legislative and Executive Branches.
The Judicial Branch oversees the Student Legal Aid Program, where main-campus students can receive free legal advice.
The Judicial Branch also runs the ASNMSU Tenant’s Union. This program is designed around the publication of a Renters’ Handbook, published to help advise and inform students renting a house or apartment.
